The Truth's Thoughts:
My little boy is obsessed with his HoodiePet since it arrived in the mail. He wants to wear it even tho it is warm out side. He wears it around the house and tells me he is a monkey.
HoodiePet is a snuggly fleece hoodie with a plush cuddly toy that attaches with velcro to the front pocket of the hoodie. With six solid colors to choose from – plus two new patterns in Zebra blue and Cheetach pink – my little boy picked the blue hoodie.  Let me tell you it is so soft and warm!
There are 11 different HoodiePet Friends to choose from.  He got ‘Screamie the Ape’.
The best part is that the HoodiePet friends are collectable and interchangeable, making them great for trading too, which I know my oldest will do with his little brother once my youngest gets his. I am going to get him a different one when I get the chance. Each friend has its own personality and story, making it not just an item of clothing, but an imaginative toy encouraging play. You can even get online with your child to learn more about the planet’s animal kingdom.There is games and everything for them to do to keep them glued to the computer for hours.
I also really like the little thumb holes in the arms of the hoodie because I know when I was a kid, I was always cutting hole in the arms of my long sleeves for my thumbs. My 5 year old is the same way, so this was perfect because they already done it for me.  I love that this is a toy that is not getting lost.

Sizes are geared for boys and girls, ages 1 to 10 years old.  I should mention that while my 6 and a half year old was in love with the HoodiePet at home, he wasn’t so sure about wearing it to Kindergarten and declined which surprised me.  My nearly five year old twins however, were all over this… and still are.  They love taking turns wearing it to Pre-K and I am debating on buying another hoodie and a few more pets so they don’t have to share the one anymore.

Review & Giveaway: Dr. Lucy's Cookies

Dr. Lucy's Cookies sent me some cookies to try for this review and I am always down for a big old glass of cold milk with some cookies. Dr. Lucy's cookies are very tasty and go great with a glass of milk but what cookie don't go good with milk.

This line was developed by Dr. Lucy Gibney upon discovering her own child had severe food allergies.  After extensive experimentation in her own kitchen, this mother came up with delicious alternatives to start this company. 

You won't find any of the typical food allergy triggers in anything this company produces such as wheat (gluten), eggs, milk, peanuts or any tree nuts.   This dedicated bakery is certified gluten free, kosher pareve, vegan and VA Finest as well.

I was sent all six boxes of their flavors.  Their cookies include Chocolate, Ginger Snap, and Maple Bliss.

These cookies are light but have a nice crunchy texture and are ideal for dunking in a cup of coffee or just to eat alone.  I sampled one of each of the  flavors over the last several days to write this review and really was surprised that these cookies, missing so many of those basic ingredients normally used to stick them together, turned out as wonderfully tasting as what I enjoyed.

Review & Giveaway: Baby Comfy Nose

Baby Comfy Nose is Physician developed and 10x the suction of a bulb or battery operated aspirators. Medical grade quality Bpa free Phthalate Free. It has a soft nose tip and mouth piece no filters to buy it has a tissue filter system. They send us home from the hospital with the bulb syringe, so we tend to trust it. But bulbs like everything else in the hospital are meant to be disposable. They are impossible to clean out thoroughly which makes them a source of virus that you are putting back into your child's nose or a siblings nose.

So, we have have to just face it, the bulbs syringes don't work very well. It has been demonstrated by laboratory testing that healthy human lungs can generate 10 times as suction power as a commercially available bulb or battery power nasal aspirators. Because the bulb has such a small volume and don't generate significant suction first you squeeze the bulb place it in baby's nose release the bulb pull it out and do that several times. Something that babies definitely don't like. I know as a mom with two boys neither of them like when they seen that bulb coming at them because they knew what was going to happen. So when I got my comfy nose, I showed it to my youngest and he wanted to know what it was and he had a runny nose at the time. I asked him if I could show him and he said yes. At first he didn't like when I put the end in his nose but then he realized it did not hurt.

The Baby Comfy Nose frees you from that and it's FREE. Household facial tissue inserted into the body of the Baby Comfy Nose is actually a more absorbent and effective filter than foam rubber. Tissue pores are much smaller than those of foam rubber, and tissue is an inherently absorbent material, whereas plastic foam rubber is not. The result is that tissue is just a better filter.
