Review: Travalo

A little about Travalo taken from their website:

na

Fresh fragrance wherever you go...

Travalo, the refillable perfume atomizer

 CLEANING THE ATOMISER.

1) Spray all your perfume out then fill it with new perfume and the old
smell fades within about 3-4 sprays.

2)Or put some water and a touch of nail varnish remover into an old
perfume bottle and put through Travalo and spray out.

3) Or go into local pharmacy and get small spray bottle (normally in travel
section) that has a nozzle compatible with Travalo. Fill this with water
and nvm and put through Travalo and spray out.

I found this extremely helpful, and have now bought one in pink, which I think is lovely. And I highly recommend to everyone.

Rapid Refill in Seconds

Travalo fills directly from almost any fragrance bottle with a removable spray head.
Take your Travalo straight out of the pack and it's ready to use immediately
Simply remove the nozzle from your big fragrance bottle, pump Travalo up and down on the tube, and you can be ready to go in just a few seconds.

Travalo in use
Travalo refills in seconds!
Refilling Travalo requires no funnel!

No funnels, No spills!

Travalo does not require a funnel, and there is no need to take it apart to refill it.
No more lost parts, no wasted fragrance, and no danger of spilling a single drop of your expensive perfume.

The Truth's Thoughts:
I'm really pleased with the item and can't believe that it actually is as easy to use as the adverts state. I was sent the golden one which looks really good and I think I might invest in another one. The only feature I'm not so keen on is the plastic spray nozzle. It is very easy to use because it tells you how to use the atomizer right on the box. It is great when you are our out and about and you just need a little perfume to keep the night going.

Review & Giveaway: SnackTaxi

A little about Snack Taxi taken from their website:
I invented SnackTAXIs way back in 2003 as a way to stem the tide of plastic ziplock bags that flowed from our house to the landfill when our 3 kids started school! We pack over 500 lunches every year, and had definitely fallen prey to the easy appeal of the ziplock bag.
SnackTAXIs are easy too - really! They are made in our home-based workshop by talented (and fun!) local sewers - we are committed to keeping our business local, and will never outsource our labor.
We hope you'll enjoy using snackTAXIs as much as we enjoy making them!

The Truth's Thoughts:
I have giving the chance to review SnackTaxi product and I picked the snacktaxi sandwich sacks. If you don't know what a sandwich sack would look like, here is a picture of the sacks.
These sacks are really cool and handy. I used them for my husband's lunch for work. I pack him a lunch daily and some days all he wants it just a sandwich, so these sacks are great for every day use. I make him a sandwich and wrap it in a napkin. Then I place it in the sack. He said some of the guy at work kind of looked at him funny because the two sacks I got where a little bit of girly but he said they all asked where he got them. So, all in all he said everyone wanted to know where to get them. He told them what they where called and when he got home he was telling me about everything like he does every night. So, these sacks are perfect for that special person in your life that like to take their lunch, wither it be kids, or your spouse.

The sandwich-sack is the perfect fit for a generous sandwich, bagel or wrap, or a hearty snack! Dimensions: 7.5" W x 6" H

Review & Giveaway: Glass Dharma

A little about Glass Dharma taken from their website:
Hello, my name is David Leonhardt.
making glass strawsI’ve been a lampworker (glassblower) for over 10 years. My wife, Gail & I recently moved from the Sacramento, CA area, to our dream of living on the Mendocino Coast.
I started doing some work for a local glass shop in town and noticed that the owner had glass drinking straws for sale. I had never heard of these before and I am always intrigued by something made out of glass that I hadn’t thought of.  I was struck by the unique elegance in such a simple item.
I immediately recognized that here was a partial solution to our “plastics problem”.  Now, granted, there are a lot more plastics in our world than just drinking straws, but bear with me a minute and let me put things in perspective ... As of March 2008, McDonald’s serves an average of 52 million meals PER DAY!  (Per their website) How many of those served do you think were given a plastic straw?  I hope it is becoming obvious just how big of a problem these pesky little plastic straws can be.  Remember, this is just from McDonalds!!  Get the picture?? Read More..
The Truth's Thoughts:

If there’s one thing I love, then it’s drinking from a straw. It somehow seems more ladylike than taking sips directly from a glass, and it’s especially convenient at restaurants (when direct mouth to cup contact is hardly ideal).  Unfortunately, the unnecessary waste created by and toxins leached through plastic straws have been more than enough to keep this lady skeptical.
When I heard about Glass Dharma, I was immediately intrigued. With BPA and the disposable element out of the way, I could finally enjoy my straw without risking my health or feeling guilty! Glass Dharma sent me 4 straws and 2 cleaning brushes (*sold separately) to try and review, and none of them failed to impress.
I am always trying to get my husband to use a straw when we go out and he never want to use them. He always just drinks right from the glass and I told him that he don't ever know if they get them completely clean that it is better to use a straw. Since we have gotten out Glass Dharma he carries one with him ever where we go and that is what he using when we go out to eat to drink his drink with. He is kinds about mother earth even if he don't really want to let any one know. He to feels the same as I do about how much we just waste stuff. So the Glass Dharma area a great idea because you can reuse them over and over. They are easy to clean with the cleaning brushes. Please remember that not all the straws come with cleaning brushes but you can buy them by their self if you wish.

Glass Dharma has generously offered to give one lucky reader a $25 gift certificate toward anything in their shop!

Don’t want to wait for your glass straw and/or accessories? Head on over to their website and buy one today!

*As I mentioned above, the cleaning brushes are sold separately. They make cleaning the straws such a breeze, though, that they’re definitely worth the $5 they cost!
