Review: Barts Cookies

I love cookies! For me, it is the ultimate sweet snack. Whenever, I need to curb my sweet tooth's appetite, I go for cookies. Chocolate chip cookies are always a great choice, because it is something that almost everyone can agree on. Personally, I love to explore different variations of ingredients in my cookies. My husband has always loved macadamia nuts. I am always open to try new cookies as our my kids. But what kids don't like cookies no matter the out come you know they will eat them.

Since, I love cookies so much, I decided to contact Bart Smith, also known as the maker of the world's best cookies. I asked him if I could get my hands on some of his world famous cookies for review. He was generous enough to send me some of his Peanut Butter Milk Chocolate Cookies and Macadamia and White Chocolate Chip Cookies.

When I got the cookies, I was so happy. They where soft and smooth. They where just right. I mean I was in peanut butter heaven with my cookies as was my husband with his macadamia cookie. My kids really love them as well. My husband said we are sure to order more from Bart's because of the texture of the cookie and the quality taste they have. They reminded me of the cookies my grandmother use to bake.

World's best cookie is quite the title to live up to, but Bart Smith is so confident in his cookie confections that if you do not feel that "these are some of the best tasting cookies that you've ever tasted in the entire world", he encourages you to contact him so he can make things right, giving his customers a 100% satisfaction guarantee.

Another very interesting fact, is that Bart Smith owes his success in business to his cookies. Whenever he has an interested client, rather than give them a business card, he would offer to send them a dozen of his cookies. After they tried his cookies, they would come back with "How could we not want to work with you?" This brought him to writing a book on networking. He has now written many self-help books, runs several websites, and sells his famous cookies online.

The different types of cookies that he makes are pretty simple. Dark Chocolate Chip, Milk Chocolate Chip, Dark + Milk Chocolate Chip Combo, Peanut Butter Milk Chocolate Chip, White Chocolate Chip, White Chocolate Chip + Macadamia Nuts. Pretty much all of your classic cookies. They also have a gluten free option for all of the cookies.

Review & Giveaway: SnackTaxi

A little about Snack Taxi taken from their website:
I invented SnackTAXIs way back in 2003 as a way to stem the tide of plastic ziplock bags that flowed from our house to the landfill when our 3 kids started school! We pack over 500 lunches every year, and had definitely fallen prey to the easy appeal of the ziplock bag.
SnackTAXIs are easy too - really! They are made in our home-based workshop by talented (and fun!) local sewers - we are committed to keeping our business local, and will never outsource our labor.
We hope you'll enjoy using snackTAXIs as much as we enjoy making them!

The Truth's Thoughts:
I have giving the chance to review SnackTaxi product and I picked the snacktaxi sandwich sacks. If you don't know what a sandwich sack would look like, here is a picture of the sacks.
These sacks are really cool and handy. I used them for my husband's lunch for work. I pack him a lunch daily and some days all he wants it just a sandwich, so these sacks are great for every day use. I make him a sandwich and wrap it in a napkin. Then I place it in the sack. He said some of the guy at work kind of looked at him funny because the two sacks I got where a little bit of girly but he said they all asked where he got them. So, all in all he said everyone wanted to know where to get them. He told them what they where called and when he got home he was telling me about everything like he does every night. So, these sacks are perfect for that special person in your life that like to take their lunch, wither it be kids, or your spouse.

Review: Skoy Cloth & Skoy Scrubs

Some facts about Skoy Clothes taken from the Skoy Cloth's website:

How we got our name

Looking for a name proved challenging.  After looking for a  long time, we found a word that is the philosophy of our business.  Skoj (pronounced Skoy) is a Swedish word that means: “just for fun”! What a perfect word for our business.  In other words, we wanted a business that we could have fun doing and at the same time would bring fun to the kitchen. With really cool designs we think we have accomplished this, while still doing our part to take care of the Earth.

About our factory

Our factory is aware of the responsibility for handling its resources carefully. We use renewable raw materials such as cellulose (derived from wood), and cotton to produce our SKOY cloths. Our factory has invested heavily in developing and implementing an integrated environmental recycling and disposal facility in which the economical use of energy and water is first and foremost. Production by-products are purified and recycled as far as possible within the process. Regeneration baths are returned to production by an evaporation process. Wastewater is treated at the site's biological wastewater purification plants. This environmental concept is at the vanguard of operations-related environmental policy and has resulted in our factory becoming a reference company throughout the industry.

Skoy Cloth
  • 100% biodegradable  •
  • Absorbent  •
  • Re-usable  •
  • European-made  •
  • Compostable  •
  • Multi-use  •
  • Unique designs and fun colors!
The Skoy Cloth is an innovative cloth that comes in an array of colors and designs and takes the place of your paper towels, sponges, rags, dishcloths and more.
It is a European made product and 100% biodegradable when properly composted because it is made from a natural cotton and wood-based cellulose pulp. The Skoy Cloth is a chlorine-free, unbleached, and non-GMO product using water-based colors and inks. After an independent composting test, Skoy Cloth broke down completely within 5 weeks.
The Skoy Cloth is a durable product due to the reusability factor and can last months. Using a Skoy Cloth is equivalent to using 15 rolls of paper towels in an average home. With the high cost of paper towels, as much as $2 per roll, Skoy Cloth is the obvious choice for your wallet and the environment.
The Skoy Cloth has an absorption factor of 15x its own weight. As a result, producing the most superior cloth product available. Imagine using 15 sheets of good-quality paper towels at once… This is how a wet Skoy Cloth will feel in your hand.
The Skoy Cloth is long-lasting because of the wash-ability feature. It dries quickly, so it is not a breeding ground for bacteria. Have you ever used your sponge, then smelled your hand and it reeked of horrible bacteria? That will never happen again if you microwave your Skoy Cloth regularly. It is also dishwasher and washer/dryer safe. Cleaning your Skoy Cloth will keep it healthy and germ-free.

The cool and unique designs will make cleaning fun!

Skoy Scrub
  •  Reusable and long lasting  •
  •  Replaces traditional scouring pads  •
  •  Easy to clean  •
  •  Safe on most surfaces  •
  •  Fun colors and designs  •

The Skoy Scrub is a new concept in kitchen scouring pads. This reusable scrub made in Europe from cotton and a food grade non-toxic hardener outlasts traditional scrubbers and in turn saves money and controls waste. The Skoy Scrub comes in a variety of colors and designs which adds fun as well as function to any kitchen. These scrubs will replace the old green scouring pads or scrub sponges. The Skoy Scrub is not limited to the kitchen and works well on most surfaces. The scrubber is easily cleaned on the top rack of the dishwasher.

The Skoy Scrub comes in fun colors and designs adding fun as well as function to the kitchen.

The Truth's Thoughts:
Skoy is a cute cloth that is 100% biodegradable, long lasting. It can take the place of 15 rolls of paper towels - that is some that I like because I spend to much money on paper towels.  When I first got my cloths, I thought they was cute and loved the fact of how brightly colored they were. My husband and I both looked at each other said there is no way that this cloth won't fall apart on the first use. Well it have been well over a week since I first used one and it is still bright and whole as the day I got them. To me these are a must have in any kitchen or house hold. They are easy to clean and keep their color very well. I use mine in the kitchen to clean up after my two boys eat because they seem to get more food on the floor or my table then I think they get in their mouth. Also, I have a flat top stove and have been looking for a way to clean it with out the product falling apart. With the Skoy cloth I don't have to worry about that at all and I love that fact. And the Skoy Scrubs work wonders on that stuck on food. I love to use them and love the fact that they last for a long time. This would make a great gift for any house wife or single mom.

From Here to There: A Freerunning Documentary & World Tour

Best friends and professional freerunners, Jesse LaFlair and Cory DeMeyers, announced today that they will embark on a worldwide tour this fall promoting their feature length documentary, FROM HERE TO THERE. The film is helmed by La Flair and DeMeyers as directors, produced by J. Zakira Wise (RUN), and edited by Carol Martori (WAITING FOR LIGHTNING, SOUND CITY).

The film highlights two of the world’s most accomplished freerunners during their very successful 2013 International Freerunning and Parkour Tour, while also bringing a spotlight to a sport on the brink of mainstream explosion. A screening of the documentary will be at the forefront of each city layover, with jams, after parties and local training sessions to supplement. Tickets will be sold on the documentary’s Kickstarter Page through the end of May. A variety of perks, including merchandise and one-of-a-kind experiences, are also available.
Cory DeMeyers hails from Michigan and won 5 World Championships in Martial Arts by the time he was 18. He discovered Freerunning after moving to LA and has been pioneering new styles of movement ever since. In 2012 he joined Tempest Freerunning as a Pro Team Athlete and in 2013 he became the 1st American to win the Red Bull Art of Motion. He also placed 1st in Team Freestyle at the Visions Parkour Classic with Teammate Jesse LaFlair.
Jesse LaFlair, a Long Island, NY native, is the number one most subscribed to Parkour and Freerunning athlete on YouTube, making him one of the most recognizable international Freerunning athletes in the world. He joined the world famous Tempest Freerunning as a Pro Team Athlete in 2012. In 2013, he set a record for the highest scored run at the Red Bull Art of Motion in Santorini, Greece, landing him a Best Trick Award and 3rd Place in the finals. He also placed 1st for the Team Freestyle with Cory and 3rd Place Overall Speed Course at the Visions Classic.
When he's not freerunning, Corey works as a stunt d
ouble in feature films including 300:Rise of an Empire and is currently working on Mall Cop. Or as a stunt double for top actors including Taylor Lautner.
DeMeyers "I would love for our story to connect with freerunners and fans and inspire everyone else who has ever had to overcome obstacles to chase a dream."
