Review: My Baby's Heartbeat Bear

Being a mom of a preemie and being pretty much robbed of the last trimester I don't have any cool ultrasounds to show. AJ was born at 34 weeks due to preeclampsia so I never had anything to show him as he has grown up now about to be 6 next week. He asked all the time about it because I have some of his brother. I never had the chance to have anything like a Heartbeat Bear. I think it would have been really neat so when I got the chance to review I was over joyed at the chance and to make it that much better. My brother-in-law and his wife found out they was having a baby and it was the perfect time because we really don't think she will make it the whole 9 months. I gave them the heartbeat bear and they where joyed. The very next time they we went to the doctor they recorded the baby's heart bear. Then put the little red heart in the back of the bear. It sounds so cool, I can't wait till my niece gets here and gets to hear own heart beat while laying in her bed.

In 2009 during my second year working as a private contractor at an OB/GYN office in Maryland, I discovered the amazing bears that record a baby’s heartbeat – while still inside the mother’s belly!
I graduated in 2000 from a community college with an associate’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography. Six months later in early 2001, I became a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer specializing in OB/GYN. I had zero experience when I started, but I had a determined spirit and a big heart for the trade. With a lifelong love for children and an innate intrigue for anatomy, I knew this was the perfect field for me.
Two years and about a thousand belly scans later, I gave birth to twins – a beautiful boy and girl that both weighed just under 7 pounds. Not something you hear of too often in a multiple delivery!
Now back to the heartbeat bears. I was working as a private contractor after 8 years working in a hospital. I decided to go the contractor route so I could spend more time with my children and focus on my dream – providing expecting mothers with the ultrasound experience I thought they deserved. And part of that included creating a memory that would last a lifetime – one that each mother could hold near and dear to her heart – her baby’s heartbeat.
I started offering the bears to my patients and they loved them. Not only for themselves, but for the grandparents–to-be and other family members. Next I was recording the soon-to-be brother or sister telling the baby how much they couldn’t wait to meet and play with them. I knew these were very special bears.
It's been almost 2 years since I started offering the heartbeat bears and I'll always celebrate the joy they bring to my patients. I love what I do, the people that I've met, and that I have been blessed to find my passion in life at such a young age.
I hope that My Baby’s Heartbeat Bear can bring you as much happiness as it’s brought me and my family.
